"Jack Daniel is for farmers" famous T-Shirt history.

The Jack Daniel company restarted Whiskey production in 1938. After being halted on the onset of
nationwide prohibition following passage of the 18th amendment in 1920.

In 1939, the company decided on a massive advertising campaign. Mostly based on the now legendary "Jack Daniel is for farmers" t-shirt design.

The shirt quickly became popular, and by 1941 Jack Daniels had sold over 1 million of them around the US alone.
